Morro Bay joined an elite group of fourteen American cities as a member America in Bloom’s “Circle of Champions.” Morro Bay has been named best city in its population category three times and qualified for the “Circle of Champions” distinction.
America in Bloom’s national program of civic beautification and heritage preservation is in its 16th year. Cities are evaluated by teams of judges on their floral displays, landscaped areas, urban forestry programs, environmental efforts, heritage preservations and overall appearance.
Morro Bay in Bloom was recognized as Best city in the 10,000-13,000 population category at America in Bloom’s national symposium and awards. This year’s symposium was held in Holliston, Massachusetts October 5-7.
